Maybe it was Jules Verne's capsule. Technology was a little behind way back then, so it could conceivably have been up there circling the Earth all this time, until a stray asteroid threw it off course and set it on a collision course with London.
ReplyDeleteThe authorities would then have had little choice but to come up with a good cover story to explain its sudden appearance.
