Speaking up for scientists Philip Strange Comment is free guardian.co.uk

From my own experience the problems come when Politian’s and single interest pressure groups miss-represent science to fit their own particular agendas. Having said that; scientists themselves are a reflection of society and may not always be as objective as they should.

I take the view that it is always best to look across the spectrum of scientific evidence and use this as the basis for making decisions rather, truth usually lying in the middle ground.
